Found: Shipwreck hunters locate HMAS Sydney II

More than 75 years after her disappearance with all 645 crew, international shipwreck hunter Davide Mearns worked with local experts and family members to finally locate HMAS Sydney II off the Western Australian coast. The wrecks of the Sydney and the German raider HSK Kormoran were found within days of each other in early 2008, ending this enduring mystery. Read more about the search here.
